She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Davis and Mary Davis (Chestnut); and her husband James Davis. She is survived by: her children, Sheila Barlow (Lou Barlow), Sonja Ellis (late Mark Ellis), Rita Davis and Rietta Davis-Patterson; her granddaughter Nicole Patterson; and her siblings, Oscar Johnson and Angelene Spencer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
