He was predeceased by: his wife Nina; his parents, Nickolas Startare and Dorothy Startare; and his siblings, Nicolas Startare, Jr., Peter Startare, Joseph Startare and Gerry Calter.
He is survived by: his sister Margaret Gesualdo (Angelo); his children, Richard Startare, Jr. (Judy) and Jamee Barfield (Ed); and his stepchildren, Richard Cozzi (Laura), Natalie Foschini (Victor), Gina Cozzi, Steven Cozzi (Nicole), Anthony Cozzi (Margarita), Linda Temple (Glenn), Natalie Demick and Beth Ellsworth. He is also survived by many grandchildren & great grandchildren.
