He was predeceased by: his sisters, Eleanor, Mary and Peggy. He is survived by: his wife Tessie Marie; his children, Michaline Cody (James), Bill, Jr. and Timothy (Robin); his grandchildren, William, Brendan, James, Joseph and Julia; and his siblings, Joseph Nolan (Mary), David Nolan (Margie) and Patricia Campbell.

In lieu of flowers memorials in his name to "Lung Cancer Research Foundation", 155 E. 55th Street, Suite 6 H, New York, NY. 10022 c/o Sam Rogers. Interment private.
