He was predeceased by: his parents, Timothy Downey and Marie Downey; and his brothers, Timothy and Joseph. He is survived by: his brother Robert Downey (Rose); and his nieces and nephews, Robert, Kim, Jeff, Timothy and Matthew.
In lieu of flowers, his family is asking for donations to be made to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Oncology Department.
