She was predeceased by: her parents, William and Lillian (Morgan); her brother William (Kathleen McKenna); her sons, Kenneth (Patricia Gicas) of Houston, TX and Francis (Patricia Porch) of Murrell's Inlet, SC; and her grandsons, Shane of Woodbine, NJ and Stephen of Houston, TX..
She is survived by: her children, Walter (Sue Bretz) of Melbourne, FL, Ronald of Wildwood Crest, NJ and Dorothy "Michele" (Everett "Chip" Vassar) of Wildwood Crest, NJ; her grandchildren, Christopher (Lisa Guida) of Melbourne Beach, FL, Lauren (Cory Curtin) of Chantilly, VA, Jeffery "Bryan" (Rose Butler) of Asheville, NC, Ryan (Alissa Broadbent) of Mackenbach, Germany and Timothy (Jennifer) of Corpus Christi, TX; her great grandchildren, Christian, James Holmes, Lonnah, Dillon Curtin, Ainsleigh Curtin, Lilly, Jace, Scarlett Curtin, Nolan, Marigny, Ellie, Fiona, Talon, Adison and Madison; and her sister-in-law Frances "Cookie" (Sonny Russom) of Pompano Beach, FL. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Dottie would favor contributions to Sweet Adelines International-Cape Shore Chapter, American Cancer Society or Veterans of America.
