He is survived by: his sons, William Scherf (Kathleen), Robert Scherf (Cynthia) and John Scherf; his grandchildren, Jennifer Klafehn (Ryan), Kathryn Armstrong (Robert), Matthew Scherf (Nicole), Andrew, Caroline Scherf, Nicole DeMartine and Daniel Scherf; his great grandchildren, Eden Klafehn, Colton, Hailey Armstrong and Madelyn Scherf; and his sister Anita Green.
