He was predeceased by: his parents, Matilda Portner (Tilly) and Nathan Portner (Nat). He is survived by: his wife Rhoda Portner; his children, Joy Montuoro (Rich Montuoro) and Adam Portner; his close friend Noel Torres; his grandchildren, Joseph Montuoro (Rebecca Coleman), Dylan Montuoro and Ashley Montuoro; and his sisters, Cheryl Cusmano and Sandra Raszka. He is also survived by his extended family, including numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

His passion and dedication led him to co-found Product Marketing Services alongside his business partner Barry Gossett, where he made significant contributions to the industry.
