It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arthur Byrd of Whiting, New Jersey, born in Buffalo, New York, who passed away on April 19, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis K Bane and Josephine Bane (Kecskés); his son Scott Byrd; the mother of his children Nancy Mott; and his stepchildren, Grace Carrin, James Carrino (Julie), Patricia Olson (Robert), Pamela White, Beverly Pomeroy (Edwin "Ted"), Carolyn Blakeman (Kevin) and John Droge (Maria).
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Byrd; and his children, Larry Byrd (Karen), Claudia Van Vliet (Gary), Doreen Briggs (Elwood "Skip"), Cathy Comstock (Neal), Diane Lebenson (Jonathan), Arthur Byrd (Lauren) and JoAnn Bartoli (late Mary Byrd). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a niece and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital in Arthur's name.
