He is survived by: his pet Sadie; his wife Karen Firing; his sister Yvonne Carswell (Ken); his niece Jennifer Tripp; his great-nephew Preston Klesat; his brother Douglas Stepanchuk (JoAnn); his nephew Douglas Stepanchuk, Jr. (Stephanie); his great-niece Bella Grace; his niece Shawna Rupert (Scott); his great-niece Savannah; his uncle Robert Miller; his siblings-in-law, Linda Firing and John Firing (Beth); his nephew Matthew Firing (Jane); his great-nephew Benjamin; his niece Katelyn Firing; and his great-niece Madelyn. He is also survived by extended family, friends and co-workers.
