He was predeceased by: his daughter Bridget Hennessey. He is survived by: his children, Edward Hennessey (Janet), Michael Hennessey (Cathy), Sean Hennessey (Michelle), Brendan Hennessey (Cathy Berggren), Emmett (Janet) and Maura Hennessey Appelson (Steve); and his great grandchild Pop. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren.
