We are sad to announce that on December 12, 2024, at the age of 91, Jean A. Madden (Wharton, New Jersey), born in West Orange, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Jean departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jean may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jean leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Laing and Mae; her brother James; and her daughter-in-law Vicky Madden. She is survived by: her daughter Kimberley Madden-Finnegan (Tom) of Lake Hopatcong; and her great grandchildren, Liam Shirvanian, Norah and Reid Finnegan.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bermingham Funeral Home (216 S Main St, Wharton, NJ 07885). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at the Laurel Grove Cemetery (295 Totowa Rd, Totowa, NJ 07512).
