He was predeceased by: his significant other Eleanor A "Ellie"; and his sister Gloria. He is survived by: his children, Dr. John A. McHugh and Eleanor C. Romanelli (Andrew); his granddaughter Samantha; his siblings, Eileen (late Peter McHale) and William Bryan; his sister-in-law Frances Jones; and his nieces and nephews, Courtney, Elizabeth, Jill, Billy, Peter, Brian and Kevin.
