He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Maher and Mary Dooley Maher; his wife Marion; his children, Maureen Mitru (Joseph), Kathleen Scherf (William), Anne Schlinck (George) and James Maher (Eileen); his grandchildren, Mairead, Daniel (Kiera Mitru), Jennifer Klafehn (Ryan), Kathryn (Matthew Scherf), George (Thomas Schlinck), James and Timothy (Gillian Maher); his great grandchild Eden Klafehn; and his brother William of Port St. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
