She was predeceased by: her husband Carl G. Carlson of Brooklyn, NY; her parents, Irving A. Thomsen and Mildred M. Thomsen (Applegate); and her siblings, Dorothy M. Thomsen and Arthur R. Thomsen.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy I. Newman, Susan J. Martens (Paul) and Richard L. Carlson; her sister Joan A. Bates; her grandchildren, Adam Scholl, Erin Scholl, Steven Scholl (Kristie), Patrick Scholl, Brianne Carlson, Michael Carlson and Francesca Bottini; her great grandchildren, Paige Mazar, Jaden Mazar, Makenzie Scholl, Jeremy Scholl, Dominick Neal, Jaxon Scholl and Luka DePompe; her son-in-law Gerald S. Scholl; and her children, Susie and Richie. She is also survived by her friends and family.
