He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Coates and Leona Coates. He is survived by: his children, Sharwin Coates and Shari Russell of Elk Twp, NJ; and his stepson Ricky Mosley (Kathleen) of Lenoir City, TN. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
