He was predeceased by: his parents, Alajos Remetei and Rozina Remetei; his spouse Gabriela Remetei; his brother Erno Remetei; and his brother-in-law Franz Benderle (Anita).
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Stephen Remetei-Dixey (Jessica Behr), Nicole Lacy (Douglas) and Philip Brown; his great grandchild Everett Lacy; his sister-in-law Edit Remetei; his nephews, Zolton of Baja, Hungary and Franz Benderle; and his niece Margit Kramer (Richard) of Modling, Austria..
