He was predeceased by: his wife Rhoda Anne Carton. He is survived by: his children, Daniel Carton of Norwell, Christine Martin of Marshfield, Jacqueline Carton and Richard Martin; his grandchildren, Nick, Bryan, James and Victoria; and his sister Elizabeth.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests a donation in Richard's name be made to The American Cancer Society, 125 S Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130.
