He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter O'Connor and Kathleen O'Connor; and his siblings, Peg, John, Peter, Jimmy, Paul and Pat.

He is survived by: his wife Roisin; his daughters, Deirdre Quinn (Patrick) and Nuala O'Connor (Peter Bass); and his grandchildren, Malachy, Oona, Maeve, Rory, Eoin Quinn, Nora, Maggie and Ian Kelly.
