He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Maria Perez-Cortizo and Luis Oscar Cortizo; his sister Ovies Cortizo; his daughter Ovies Maria Cortizo-Guadalupe; his wife Elfriede Cortizo; his sons, Oscar Luis Cortizo and Alex Cortizo; his children-in-law, Elizabeth Soledad Cortizo-Brand and Cesar Ulpiano Guadalupe; his grandchildren, Erika Janine Cortizo-McMenamin, Kristian Alexander Cortizo, Oscar Luis Cortizo, Adrien Alexis Cortizo, Sebastian Luis Guadalupe and Amanda Nicole Guadalupe; and his great grandchildren, Alexander Kai Cortizo and Valentina Firenze Cortizo.
