She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Huxley and Floyd Edwin Huxley; and her son-in-law Nicholas Karant. She is survived by: her husband James S. West; her children, Marie H. West of Mountainside and James W. West; her mother-in-law Vivian B. West of Centreville, Virginia.; and her grandchildren, Nicholas A. Karant, Christopher J. Karant of Mountainside, NJ, Chelsea M. West of Queens, NY and Collin M. West of Centreville, VA..
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church (1 E Broad St, Westfield, NJ 07090). A funeral Mass was held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the United Methodist Church (1 E Broad St, Westfield, NJ 07090).
In lieu of flowers, Marie's favorite charities was her church's, First United Methodist Church Westfield, NJ Local Homeless Program and the Southwest Indian Foundation.
