He is survived by: his wife Lugenia "Jeannie" Barden; his children, James, Jr. (Shirell), Kevin, Sr. (Cynthia) and Leticia (LaQuan); his goddaughter Tasha Murray; his siblings, Antonia Coffey, Monica Van Kline and John Van Kline; his siblings-in-law, George (Candace), Floyd (Fredrica), Vernon, Marie, Roslyn and Portia; his grandchildren, Jasmine, Shante', Kevin, Jr., Jamirah, LaQuan, Jr., Steven, Niya, Iyana, Laila, Ja'Nae, Cody and Chloe; his great grandchild Samara; his godsons, Andre Moore and Jessie Mayers; and his brothers, William Foster and Sylvester Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
