With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Helen B. Petersen of Westfield, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 13, 2025 at the age of 97. Though Helen has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her husband Eardly T. Petersen; her daughter-in-law Patti Petersen; and her granddaughter Claire Petersen. She is survived by: her sons, Doug and Keith Petersen (Caroline); her grandchildren, Daniel, Corinne, Aleksander and Russell (Jackie); and her great grandchild Vianca.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dooley Colonial Home (556 Westfield Ave, Westfield, NJ 07090). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
