He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry McCabe and Catherine McCabe; and his siblings, Harry, John, James, Joseph, Catherine and Maureen Cordis.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Gerard McCabe, Jr. (Jacqueline), Timothy McCabe, Maureen Wusaty (Mark) and Michael McCabe (Mary); and his grandchildren, Christopher Liam, Brendan, Megan, Andrew, Nicole, Amanda, Brian and Kelly.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dooley Colonial Funeral Home (556 Westfield Ave, Westfield, NJ 07090). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Church (315 1st St, Westfield, NJ 07090).
