He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Matteo Battista and Teresa Battista (Piemontese); his wife Joan Battista (Grau); his brothers, Luigi A. Battista, Joseph Battista and Vildo J. Battista; his daughter Felicia Minarchi (Chris) of Whiting; his grandchildren, Matthew Rifino (Melissa) of Long Valley, Jana Berthel (Peter) of Basking Ridge and Giancarlo Rifino (Nicole) of Stirling; his great grandchildren, Belle, Jameson, Jones, Ellis and Genevieve; and his sister Carmela Lourie (Bud) of South Hampton. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
