With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elsie D. Haukdal (Westfield, New Jersey), born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on August 9, 2019 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elias Jansen and Dorthea Jansen; her husband Bersven Haukdal (Bert); and her siblings, Mekal Jansen (Frank), Aslaug Hansen and Elisabeth Jansen.
She is survived by: her children, Robert A. Haukdal (Trish) and Elaine J. Chesebro (Jeff); her grandchildren, Eric Haukdal (Laura Peters), Amy Haukdal Spencer (John), Christopher Chesebro (Kelly Eng) and Brian Chesebro (Tucker); and her great grandchildren, Ian Haukdal, Torunn and Reidunn Spencer.
