It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward J. Merklinger of Westfield, New Jersey, born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on June 14, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John F. Merklinger and Veronica Merklinger (Ronnie); his son Eric M. Merklinger; his daughter-in-law Christine; and his friend Kathleen Merklinger. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

He was a generous contributor to St. Jude Children's Hospital and the Community Foodbank of NJ, so memorial donations to those charities would be welcome.
