It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Demarais (Westfield, New Jersey), who passed away on September 9, 2018, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brothers, Arthur Grannells, Thomas Grannells and William Grannells (Edward). She is survived by: her aunt Anne Reilly; her uncle William Reilly; her daughter Arthur; her granddaughter Claire Demarais of New York, NY.; and also, Dennis, Martin, Case of Hopewell, NJ and Marie. She is also survived by husband Ed died suddenly in 1984 - he had been her biggest supporter of her studies; often bragging to friends.
In Lieu of flowers her children request donations in Dorothy's name to the Alzheimer's Association (Alz.org) or the Holy Trinity Interparochial School Library, Westfield, NJ. (Htisnj.com) Visitation will be at Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield Ave., Westfield on Thursday from 5-8PM.
