It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Jean Fitterer (Westfield, New Jersey), who passed away on November 14, 2017, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She is survived by: her parents, Thomas Gulick and Hazel Gulick; her spouse Hazen L. Short; her children, Amy L. Archer and Douglas H. Short; her grandchildren, Maxandra E. Kramer and Thomas L. Short; and also, Christina R. Short, Bob Gulick and Doris Kemp.

In Betty's advanced stages of Alzheimer's at her memory care home, she went into her friends' rooms and folded their clothes or dusted the Nurse's station with a napkin, helping others to the end.
