He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Sachar and Casimira Sachar; and his brother Vincent Sachar. He is survived by: his wife Rozalie; his children, Barbara Clark (Scott), Kenneth Sachar (Stephanie Edwards), Steven Sachar (Jennifer) and Tina Roemersma (Chris); his grandchildren, Emily, Savanna, Amanda, Ryan, Kahlea, Josh, Evan, Trevor and Andrew; and his sisters, Lorraine Travia and Phyllis Telfer.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Thomas' memory to St. David the King Roman Catholic Church.
