Steven R. Jany Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven R. Jany of West Windsor, New Jersey, born in Trenton, New Jersey, who passed away on April 8, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Jany and Ruth Jany (Bowlby); his wife Martha S. Jany; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Scaramuzzo and Jim Applegate.

He is survived by: his sons, Rodger (Samantha Jany) of West Windsor and Tim (Sarah Jany) of Plantation, FL; his siblings, Susan (John Jabonoski), Patricia (Thomas Cherrington), Chrissy Scaramuzzo of Morrisville, PA and Frank; his sister-in-law Terri Jany of Albrightsville, PA; his close friend Charlotte Dey of West Windsor; his grandchildren, Brayden, Sawyer, Kase, Joseph and Jacqueline; his siblings-in-law, Carol Applegate and Gordon Simonson (Ray) of Deer Lodge, Montana; and his pet Trixie. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck (154 S Mill Rd, West Windsor Township, NJ 08550). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Steve's memory to organizations that support local agriculture and the community he loved dearly.
