He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Franklin; his parents, Lizzie Franklin and Nathaniel Franklin; his siblings, John, Enoch, Elijah Franklin and Maeomi Williams; and his children, Dwayne Franklin and Tami Franklin.
He is survived by: his children, Victor Franklin (Lori), Paula Franklin-Lewis, Katrina Baldwin (Lorenzo), Tiffany Franklin, Shantell Franklin and LaToya Franklin; his stepchildren, Keisha Carter and Eddie Carter (Hassana); his sisters, Irene Pitts, Lorine Glanton (Bobby) and Margaret Franklin; and his siblings-in-law, Jacqueline Wimbish (Lamont), Mildred Franklin and William Payne, Jr.. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
