It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Flaherty of West Orange, New Jersey, who passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Katherine Murphy and Peter Murphy; her siblings, Peter Murphy, Claire Vollmerhausen and Gerard Murphy; and her son-in-law Gregory Devero.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary-Jane Masella (Bill), Nancy Murphy (Kevan), Regina Janacek (Doug), Claire Rose (Ralph) and Megan Devero; her grandchildren, Katie Davidson (Brad), Kevan Jr. (Chrissy), John, Michael, Benjamin (Erin), Patrick, Caeli, Matthew, Chloe and Caroline; her great grandchildren, Tessa, Aubree, Kevan III, Kallen and Kane; her sister-in-law Wynne Flaherty; and her dear Arthur.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church.
