Carmela Venutolo Obituary

The memory of Carmela Venutolo of West Orange, New Jersey, born in Orange, New Jersey, who passed away on February 28, 2025 at the age of 91, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As Carmela departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Carmela. Though Carmela may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her husband Albert Venutolo; her parents, Antonio Ciavatta and Carmela Ciavatta; and her brothers, Dr. Vito Ciavatta and Anthony Ciavatta.

She is survived by: her son Anthony Venutolo (Alexandria); her grandson Zander; and her sister RoseAnn Turano (Lou). She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dancy Memorial (9 Smull Ave, Caldwell, NJ 07006). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Joseph Church (44 Benvenue Ave, West Orange, NJ 07052). A burial was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936).
