With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Matthew P. Byrnes of West Milford, New Jersey, born in Rockville Centre, New York, who passed away on January 10, 2025 at the age of 60. He was predeceased by: his father John Byrnes; and his sister Robin. He is survived by: his mother Jeanette Byrnes; his children, Brendan, Olivia and Ryan; the mother of his children Susan; and his siblings, John and Linda Eiler.

He was in my wedding and I was in his. Matt was THE guy.....I always looked up to him since he served in the military before I met him. After I knew him for a while, Susan came into the picture. Was a storybook romance and they got married. I think it was his 50th birthday that Susan rented out a camp”

“Matt was my college roomate and my friend for many years at UPS. I knew Matt before he met Susan, the love of his life. Matt did not pull any punches, Matt was Matt.....you got what you got. I had many great times with Matt which I'm sure are in the pictures he captured....he was a photo guy. I had several great times at Warren Street where we had great parties.......Matt came up with the mantra "Take a Chance, Drop Your Pants".....”
