We are sad to announce that on April 16, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Filomena Phyllis Acerra Diebold (West Long Branch, New Jersey), born in Long Branch, New Jersey. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfonso Acerra and Valentina Acerra; her son Fortunato; her sister Anna Marie "Chickie"; her brother-in-law Ron Maher; her niece Ronelle Maher; and her grandson William John Sylvia.
She is survived by: her children, Christopher Diebold of Rutland, VT, Foster Diebold, Jr. and Sylvia Sylvia-Cioffi; her nephews, Rick Maher and Al Acerra; her niece Valerie Manzo; and also Kathi Dragos. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
It is with profound sadness, that the family of Filomena Phyllis Acerra Diebold announce that on Thursday, April 16, 2020, after a brief, but courageous battle with COVID-19, their beloved mother passed from this world to join her heavenly Father.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Monmouth County SPCA Most of all, her children ask that you please be careful, stay healthy, love each other and ask that you join them to celebrate her life when we are able to be together.
