He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Sloat and Marion Sloat; and his siblings, Harold and Jacqueline Thorn. He is survived by: his wife Joan Smith Sloat; and his children, Wayne (Carol Sloat) of Neptune, Carole (Tom Butler) of Neptune, Donna (Charles Arnold) of Andover, CT, Kimberly (Tim Bagwell) of Brick and Suzie (Chris Carter). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
