It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hilda Helfer in West Caldwell, New Jersey, born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Hilda had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Hilda may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Helfer and Archangela Helfer (Avallone); and her siblings, Louis Helfer (Hilda), Dolores Helfer and Peggy Helfer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the St Aloysius Roman Catholic Church (219 Bloomfield Ave, Caldwell, NJ 07006).
