He was predeceased by: his wife Josephine Tighe; his daughter Mary Catherine Tighe; and his father Joseph A. Sr.. He is survived by: his sons, Joseph A. Tighe, III (Melissa) of Cedar Knolls, John Tighe of New York City, Robert Tighe of Parsippany, David Tighe and Thomas Tighe (Hannah) of Malmo, Sweden; his sister Barbara Howell of Tinton Falls; his grandchildren, John (Kaitlyn), Robert, Vanessa, Julia, Sara, Cosmo and Lia; and his great grandchild Leighton.
