He was predeceased by: his wife Anne Fredericks (Maloney); his parents, Jeanette and Joseph J Fredericks Sr.; and his siblings, Harold, Eileen and Allan Fredericks.

He is survived by: his children, Joseph Fredericks of Middletown, Janice Fredericks of Weehawken and Steven Fredericks of Toms River; his grandchildren, Ellen Wilson, Steven, Ryan, Kristen and Kelsey Fredericks; his great grandchild Mason Wilson; and his brother Raymond.
