It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William John Sherman of Wayne, New Jersey, born in Totowa, New Jersey, who passed away on October 2, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sherman and Augusta Sherman (Apel); and his brothers, Charles and Kenneth. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Sherman (Bischoff); and his brother Henry Sherman (JoAnn Carrara). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Doug loved to converse with him veteran to veteran.He was always willing to help with a plumbing problem from the time I first met him on Labor Day weekend in 1972 to recently. I will miss him and fondly remember our interactions. I pray for you enduring this terrible loss. Fondly Hilda MacLean”
