He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Anthony Szal and Jane Szal of Passaic; his pet Lacie; his cousin Eleanor Brangan; his wife Marian Szal (Halka); his children, Janine Paavola (Tommi) of Oakland and Bryan Szal of Ventura, CA; and his granddaughters, Juliana and Elena Paavola.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home (567 Ratzer Rd, Wayne, NJ 07470). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at the Our Lady of the Valley Church (630 Valley Rd, Wayne, NJ 07470).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Our Lady of the Valley Church, 630 Valley Road, Wayne, NJ 07470 would be greatly appreciated (we will have donations cards at the funeral home).
