She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George and Alice Young; her husband John Giarrusso; her daughter-in-law Marge Giarrusso (Tom); and her children, Beverly (Peter Simons) of Albuquerque, NM, Evelyn (John Kish) of Ansonia, CT, John Giarrusso Jr. (Eve Gardner) of Exeter, NH, Thomas Giarrusso of Hope Mills, NC, James Giarrusso (Heather) of Hillsborough and Marianne (Lee Smith) of Winston Salem, NC. She was also cherished by grandchildren; and seventeen adored great-grandchildren.
