He was predeceased by: his wife Kathryn Thompson; his son Ryan; and his sister Carol Spada. He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Graffanino (Richard) of Oakland; his grandchildren, Emma and Connor Graffanino of Oakland; his brother-in-law John Spada; his nephews, Ken Spada and George Spada (Jen); and his niece Misti Spada.
