It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph P. Caldarera of Wayne, New Jersey, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on December 18, 2021, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles N. Caldarera and Elvira M. Iraggi; and his wife Theodora 'Teddy Lampros Caldarera. He is survived by: his friend Sal; his children, Kathryn (Frank Franzino), Joan (John Bloom), Joseph P. Caldarera, Jr. and John (Devon Caldarera); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Frank, Joseph, Aram, Lenya, Michael Tobias, Andreas, Nicholas and Julianne; his great grandchildren, Victoria, Alexandra, Luca, Theodore, Anna, Lydia, Camille, Madeline, Hannah and Leah; and also Anna Gabrea. He is also survived by cousins, nephews, and nieces.
The family is so grateful for his caregiver Anna Gabrea who made him feel special and comfortable in his home during his last years, including throughout the pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the United Way of Hudson County, another organization in which he was active throughout his life, would be appreciated.
