She was predeceased by: her grandson Matthew James Beckum; her parents, Frederick Diese and Mary Diese; and her brother Fred Diese. She is survived by: her children, Donna Beckum (Todd) of Eagle, CO, Karen Horey (Kevin) of Pittsford, NY and Edward Fattell of Pt; and her grandchildren, Tyler, Bailey, Carley Beckum of Eagle, CO, Ryan, Meaghan, Colin Horey of Pittsford, NY and Edward IV of Wayne, NJ.. She is also survived by mother to her 3 children and a caring grandmother to her 7 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested a donation be made in Joan's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, http://www.stjude.org.
