He is survived by: his children, John (Susan) of Danville, CA and Thomas (Tracey) of North Arlington, NJ.; his wife Rosemary; his children, Karen Fern (Daniel) of Oakland, NJ, Kathleen Shoztic (Matthew) of Stamford, CT and Maribeth Hastings (Barry) of Greenville, NC; and his grandchildren, Paige, Derek, Aiden, Mason Halas, William, Bradley Fern, Zachary, Ryan Shoztic, Jackson, Emma, Avery and Brady Hastings.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in George's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
