He was predeceased by: his siblings, Patricia O'Mara, Frances O'Brien (Charles), Olga Frew (Warren), Rita Gailey (Frank), Jack O'Mara (Agnes), Betty Flynn (Vince) and Robert O'Mara; and his brother-in-law Mickey McPoyle.
He is survived by: his wife Georgette O'Mara; his daughters, Cindy Christon and Cathy Reilly (Mike); his grandchildren, Amanda Christon (Julian), Morgan Reilly, Hailey Christon and Scott Reilly (Dominique); his great grandchild Viviana; his sister Dolores McPoyle; his sister-in-law Peggy O'Mara; and his pets, Bella and Minnieboo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
