She was predeceased by: her parents, William Banks and Mary Banks; her son Jermaine Porter; and her sister Emma Jean Toms (James Porter). She is survived by: her husband James Porter; her sister Joanna Arnold; her children, Sharon Banks, Stephanie Maxwell, William Banks and McClinton Spruill; and her grandchildren, Shannon Banks, Sajaydah Turner, William Banks Jr. and Joshua Banks. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Higgins Home For Funerals (752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung, NJ 07069). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
