With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Edward Meyer of North Plainfield, New Jersey, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on January 1, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Meyer and Sophie Meyer. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ann Meyer (Peggy); his children, James Meyer, Rob Meyer (Denise) and Michele Smego (Andrew); his grandchildren, Michael Smego (Stephanie), Robert Meyer and Jenna Smego; and his great grandchildren, Kyle and Jacob Smego.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Higgins Home For Funerals (752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung, NJ 07069). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church - Np (41 Manning Ave, North Plainfield, NJ 07060). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Bunky's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
