She is survived by: her children, Thomas Wharton (Linda), Diane Welsh (Fred), Connie Guldin (Tom), William Wharton (Kim) and Robert Wharton (Beth); her grandchildren, Dawn, Patty, Ricky, Tommy, Amy, Kelly, Billy, Derek, Jarrett, Griffin, Miranda and Gabrielle; and her great grandchildren, Joey, Jenna, Jack, Danny, Liam, Logan, Travis and Emma.
Shirley's life will be honored and remembered privately by her family due to the health crisis of COVID-19.
